Description

The new innovative matte black dimmer encompasses an on/off switch and an ergonomic dimming lever in the one compact unit measuring only 7cm x 5cm x 3.5cm. The housing of the Halogen Dimmer also has “notches” to allow for the dimmer to be mounted on a flat surface using screws.

Installation:
Please note: This Halogen Dimmer is for use with Halogen lights only.

  • Step 1: Locate the input wires on your Halogen Dimmer; these wires can be identified by the “Input” label on the back of the housing.
  • Step 2: Identify the positive and negative cables for the input . These can be identified by the “- +” labelling on the back of the housing.
  • Step 3: Connect the input wires of your Halogen Dimmer Unit to a fused 12v power source. This connection can be made using a connector rated to a minimum of 12 amps (not supplied) or by soldering the joins. (Ensure positive and negative are connected correctly. Refer to Step 2).
  • Step 4: Locate the output wires to your Halogen Dimmer; these can be identified by the “Output” labelling on the back of the housing.
  • Step 5: Identify the positive and negative wires for the output, these can be identified by the “-+” labelling on the back of the housing.
  • Step 6: Connect the output wires of your Halogen Dimmer to a halogen light with a current draw not exceeding the maximum rating of 12 amps. This connection can be made using a connector rated to a minimum of 12 amps (not supplied) or by soldering the joins. (Ensure positive and negative are connected correctly. Refer to Step 5).

 

Operation:

  • The Halogen Dimmer is capable of both switching ON/OFF and dimming your halogen light from zero to 100% output.
  • The button on the front of the housing is for toggling between on and off.
  • The lever located on the housing can be used to dim your halogen light from 100% to zero.
  • Please ensure that the ON/OFF button is in the OFF position when the light is not being used for an extended period of time. This will prevent your battery from going flat.

 

Mounting:

  • A hook and loop strap is supplied with the Halogen Dimmer, this allows the Halogen Dimmer unit to be mounted in various locations such as on a rifle stock.
  • The housing of the Halogen Dimmer has “notches” to allow for the Dimmer to be mounted on a flat surface using screws (not supplied).
