Description

An MC4 Y-branch pair for wiring two solar panels or flexible panels in parallel. You get both halves of the circuit: one connector joins the two positive leads, the other joins the two negatives. That's why it ships as a pair — two of the same connector won't complete the circuit.

Parallel wiring keeps voltage the same and adds the current together, so two matched panels feed into your charge controller or power station through a single pair of leads. It's the opposite of series wiring, where you plug one panel straight into the next and the voltages stack instead.

Silver-plated copper contacts keep resistance low at the join, and the housings are IP67 rated — dust-tight and sealed against temporary immersion, so roof mounting, rain and corrugated-road dust aren't an issue. Rated to 1000V DC, well beyond anything a 12V or 24V setup will see.

Two things to check before wiring up. Your controller or power station needs to accept the combined current of both panels, and panels should have similar voltage ratings — mismatched voltages reduce the combined output. Disconnect from the controller or cover the panels before connecting and disconnecting, as MC4 connectors aren't designed to be unplugged under load.

What's included:

• 1 × MMF connector (2 male-to-1 female)
• 1 × FFM connector (2 female-to-1 male)
