4WD Interiors

4WD Interiors started operations in 1980, so it is one of the Australian market's longest-standing, custom-4WD interior accessory developers. The genius behind the business is Gary Plant, a former air conditioning contractor who started off making a few custom interior accessories for his FJ40 Land Cruiser. He soon saw the potential of this niche market and went all in, subsequently moving to Perth and registering the business in 1982. By 1986, 4WD Interiors had a range of products that included top shelves, dash shelves, floor consoles, door pockets, roof lockers, and wheel arch storage boxes.
