The IRONMAN 4X4 Extra-Heavy, Post-Registration IM2.5 GVM Upgrade for the BYD SHARK 6 is designed for owners looking to carry a constant 600+ kg of weight over the rear of the vehicle. The 350kg extra payload, taking this PHEV from a run-about to a genuine 1-tonne truck!

The SHARK 6 features a standard GVM of 3500kg, and this IRONMAN 4X4 GVM Upgrade kit is certified and approved to the increased 3850kg gvm.

The ‘Extra Heavy' GVM kit is designed for vehicles which are heavily loaded and have a relatively constant additional load of 600kg+.
This could be a service body, heavy-set touring rig, and/or a SHARK 6 with a heavy towing set-up as an example.

In addition to the GVM Upgrade, this kit is certified with increased axle load capacities at both the front and rear of the vehicle.

The SHARK 6 GVM Upgrade offers front and rear axle upgrades:
  • Front axle from 1651kg to 1800kg
  • Rear axle from 1927kg to 2150kg


Further to the additional payload, the GVM kit also offers 30-35mm lift across the vehicle.

Additionally this kit includes all the components required to satisfy the GVM regulations including all fees, CAT-6 indicators and wiring.

This SHARK 6 GVM kit features IRONMAN 4X4's class leading IM2.5 Monotube shock absorbers. Perfectly tuned for all day comfort and handling, the IM2.5 is a monotube shock absorber constructed of extruded aluminium for improved strength and weight savings.

The IRONMAN 4X4 GVM Kit offers a greater capacity while also ensuring safety is paramount for handling additional loads in your SHARK 6.
