Description

EBC make two sintered pad blends, SR11 lower friction and SR21 high friction.
Both are fully sintered pad blends for fastest asphalt race and endurance applications and have been independently dyno tested to LMGTE/GTLM race parameters. The new EBC SR range is a low-noise, fast bedding, long-life sintered pad blend that is designed to offer the LOWEST pad-wear-cost-per-lap in race driving. The pads work on a deposit film basis which reduces disc/rotor wear to almost zero. Bed-in is almost instant with one lap normally sufficient on decent rotor surfaces.
Just add the appropriate suffix to select higher or lower friction after the part number and thickness dimension.
EBC Sintered SR pads are in a class of their own, made in the USA plant of EBC Brakes. The SR21 bites harder and lasts longer than any other option without damaging rotors. While there have been a few sintered pads around in the past, none compare to these.
Utilizing advanced transfer film technology, disc wear is almost totally eliminated. Being a “hard” pad in compressibility terms means that pedal feel is also improved, providing better and more responsive braking.
The wear life of the SR21 pads is exceptional, with tests showing a lifespan that is 3-5 times longer than competitor semi-metallic pads.
The SR21™ ultra-high friction compound is specifically targeted for the front and rear of race cars with bias controls only. These pads are produced exclusively for full race calipers from manufacturers such as AP, Brembo, Alcon, and Wilwood.
The biggest advantage of the SR pads is twofold:they provide more bite, less fade, and the lowest cost per racing mile of any pad.
Another significant benefit is the almost instant braking performance obtained from the SR pads, effective from cold temperatures up to 925°C (1697°F). There is no chemical bedding required; simply fit them and race, as there are no volatiles to burn off, marking another first in race brake technology.
Dozens of top teams have used the SR pads in 2021, and every single one has requested supplies for the 2022 racing season.
